A playoff type game in the middle of September… Campbellsville will make the trip to Hazard as two top 5 teams in Class A football will meet in a regular season clash… Both teams possess high scoring offenses and tough physical defenses… Both teams enter this contest with identical 3-1 records… The eyes of Kentucky will be on this game Friday night… Who gets it done?

Big showdown type game for 1A. I’m interested in knowing how this turns out. Either team winning wouldn’t surprise me and I think Hazard has a solid chance of winning. With it being a home game, I like their chances more.

This is gonna be a war. Two Excellent teams in a Class 1A Top 5 showdown. This game will come down to turnovers. The team with the least will win. I’m looking forward to watching this Campbellsville team in person. I’ve watched the last two years and have been very impressed with them. I think they got an excellent coach leading them and has there program heading in the right direction. I remember a few years back Campbellsville had low numbers, but not now. I’m a big fan of Eastridge and his abilities to make plays. Hazard will need to limit these. If they don’t Campbellsville will win this game. If they can keep these low then Hazard will have a shot. I also believe these teams are mirror images of one another as well with athletes all over the field. Who will step up and make plays. Gavin Johnson vs. Gabriel Noyola will be huge. These are the teams two prime stars. Hazard also has Connor Holbrook and Campbellsville has Les Colvin. But man it’s just Sunday and I can’t wait for this game. Hope these teams come out of this matchup injury free.

Matchups between these two since 1998. This game will be the first regular season game as these listed in the picture where all playoff matchup. 2007 was a 3rd round matchup, while other 3 were 2 round matchups.

Do u got any history before 1998 on this matchup? I wouldn’t know anything if wasn’t for scoreboard.

Interesting stat and information on the 2013, and 2014 matchups. Gavin Johnson’s Brother Jason played in 2013 and 2014 in this matchup.  These were his freshmen and sophomore seasons. He had a huge game in 2014 with 6 catches for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Another interesting stat is quarterback Tanner Morgan played this matchup and it was also his freshmen and sophomore seasons. He then transferred back to Ryle for his junior and senior seasons. He was then signed by Minnesota to play for the Gophers. We/many know how that played out.

Should be an exciting game, but Campbellsville finds a way to pull away get a big road win. 35-17 Tigers.

What a game this should be... Looking forward to the three hour trip! Anxious to see how Campbellsville's Veteran team handles the road trip. Loving the tougher schedule for the eagles this year. Will bode well for November Football.

I also wanted to let any body from Campbellsville or whoever is making the trip to watch this one. The Black Gold Festival is going on, and there is plenty of activities you and your family could enjoy before or after the game Friday.
