The McCracken County Mustangs invade War Memorial Stadium this week, and the big question is this: Can Mayfield put the stinging loss to Paducah Tilghman behind them and be ready for the Mustangs? The answer is yes. This is not the first time the Cardinals have had to overcome a loss to PT.
McCracken County has not developed into the power program that they desire to be, but Mayfield will need to have their “heads in the game”  when they play. It seems to be just the right time to beat the Cardinals, but do the Mustangs have the horsepower (I know, bad joke) to get it done?

Do the Cardinals shake off last week’s loss and take it out on McCracken County, or do the Mustangs seize the opportune moment and deal Mayfield it’s second loss in consecutive weeks? Tell us what you think.

Mayfield by 3 or more touchdowns. The Mustangs were supposed to be vastly improved from last year but haven’t shown it yet.Their only win was against a  weak Clarksville Northeast team.

The Mustangs do have some talent on their roster, mainly on the offensive side of the ball and capable of putting points on the board, but, imo, doesn't have enough defense to contain the Cardinals and would have to force some turnovers to have any chance. I think the Mayfield staff will get their kids ready to play and rebound from last weeks Tilghman game. I see a lot of running clock games for them the rest of the season. Cards 49 Stangs 21

I have not heard anything concerning that

I don't know what it was or if it affects his availability this week, but he did come out last game in I believe late 2nd quarter.

Freshman qb Cole Presswood came in and threw for 3 td's after he went out. Some very nice looking throws too.

I heard O’Neal may not play this week.  Had an MRI on throwing shoulder on Monday.  Do not have knowledge of what happened.  If Presswood plays, it will depend on how well he handles pressure.  I’m sure the Cardinals will dial it up early and often.  Kid has a bunch of talent and throws a very nice ball.

On the other side of the ball, Mayfield scores at will.

Mayfield 49

McCracken 21

Mccracken is really missing their starting QB and Mayfield's injuries are starting to rise...that's not good...JV should be able to handle this game rest of the way...GBR
