February 6, 200719 yr I think its odd that most Cat fans on this site want to know every detail about every student/athlete to enroll at any of their rivals school. For instance the multi-page thread about JJ Redick's DUI. Now we can just dismiss a kid leaving his team mid-season as no big deal, "undisclosed internal reasons". Does anyone have a clue what that means? How are we supposed to know what's going on when the coach has kept it quiet? Something is fishy and this isn't good news, but everything I've ever read has had nothing but positive things to say for this kid, off of the court. Give me a break.
February 6, 200719 yr ^ I also have heard nothing but good things on the kid. I also recognize a "red flag" so to speak here, news like this can't be good. I hope that whatever reason it is nothing serious but he is not on the team for some reason. I don't want to speculate but the Cats may be better off looking elsewhere. The truth will come out eventually and I don't want it to burn U.K..

Seems odd to me that some non U.K. fans are reaching for something that is not there.:sssh:
February 6, 200719 yr This isn't good in any kind of way. Williams needs to be playing as much as he can and in as many games as he can. He's a guy that will get better, and has only been playing for three years, but if your not playing your not getting any better.

I agree, if he is not playing now, then he could be just as good as Shagari...
February 6, 200719 yr Come on guys. Anybody consider it possible he is having some family issues? That could very well be the case and he would be better off being with them than playing ball right now.
February 6, 200719 yr He didn't really get kicked off the team. He left the team for "undisclosed internal reasons." He is still however a member of the basketball team... So you're both wrong. He's still on the team.
February 6, 200719 yr I think its fair to ask, what did he do to get kicked off the team? Probably had something to do with that strict catholic discipline.
February 6, 200719 yr I think its fair to ask, what did he do to get kicked off the team? Probably so, but he is still a minor so those things probably would be kept out of the public.
February 6, 200719 yr Interesting case here. Not dismissed, but will not play in the final four games of the year. Is this the scholly for Pettigrew?
February 6, 200719 yr Interesting to say the least.... On a side note, I've been hearing a rumor that Patterson's girlfriend has been telling people he is UK bound. Take it for what it's worth, I personally find it hard to believe but who knows. (the part about her telling people that, not him coming to UK)
February 6, 200719 yr Interesting case here. Not dismissed, but will not play in the final four games of the year. Is this the scholly for Pettigrew? I think a recruiting class of Patterson, Pettigrew, Lucas, and Stewart would make for a top 10 class. If Tubby were to sign that class, I think he would be laying the groundwork for an unbelievable team.
February 6, 200719 yr Just heard on the news that Williams' GPA is around 3.2 so this isn't a academic issue apparently.
February 6, 200719 yr Just heard on the news that Williams' GPA is around 3.2 so this isn't a academic issue apparently. Fits right in with the current UK squad. The basketball Cats turned in a team GPA of 3.2 for the fall semester. I wonder if any of the underclassmen are eligible for an academic ride?
