Both of these Bullitt County teams enter this week with identical 0-2 records.  East barely showed up against Boyle in week, before playing much better but ultimately coming up just a hair short against 2024 4A runner up Franklin County.

North's 2 losses come from a trip to Stanford against Garrard County then getting ran by a good North Oldham team.

East really blew a golden opportunity against Franklin but I know they had to be pleased with that effort as compared to the Boyle opening week loss.  They should more than handle business this coming Friday but they still have Manual, Central, Male and Fern Creek on the schedule so they use the next couple of weeks to work on the things they are not doing well.

North, unfortunately, is on their 5th coach in the last 4 seasons. (no, that is not a typo).  They played Garrard well for a half but have had little else to celebrate.  They do have a pretty good player at QB and seem to give good effort but numbers are down and it will probably be a long night come Friday.

Running clock much like the previous editions.

Bullitt East will beat the teams it should beat.  They will just struggle against the very good teams they play.  They should run away with this one.

I understand why someone would have that opinion, but they didn't struggle against Franklin County.  If you don't get the W it really doesn't matter but they really outplayed Franklin for about 90% of the game.  The wheels came off against Boyle and East should be embarrassed by their effort in that game.  I thought they were past being intimidated by the name across the front of the jersey's.  But they answered the bell pretty well Friday.  We shall see, it's a long season, but I disagree.

@BEChargers, what's the status on Crawford and Hardesty? Those are obviously two high ceiling players that would make a world of difference for the Chargers.

With or without them, BE should roll North this week.

Hardesty was lost for the season with an injury in Ballard scrimmage.  Hoping for eligibility for Crawford.  Hadn't heard anything new about him.

Dang ... I didn't know that about Hardesty. That's encouraging that they battled Franklin County tooth and nail without those two.

Yeah, really stinks.  Kid worked as hard as any I've seen.

Been a very close game. North outplayed East most of the 1st qtr.  Seemed to want it more.
