If its not an official game it will be as if both teams had a bye this week. Does nothing for RPI, playoffs, or anything. However, if it went through the end of the second quarter and got to halftime, I think it should be official. That said, might the coaches have agreed to not count it?

Do you have any insight on why the Scoreboard is reporting it like any other final?

Not a clue. I wouldn't think someone would post a score if it wasn't official and scores can only be posted by coaches or administrators so you'd think they'd know if it was official. ?‍♂️

It could just be that the info I relayed from the broadcast was not correct. 

They told on WKYT that it was a final.

Could this be a situation where Corbin didn't want to make the the 1hr+ drive back to Lex tomorrow? Which in that case wouldn't it be a forfeit on their end. I frankly don't see why the Station coaches would accept defeat in a very winnable game that would be a momentum booster for a struggling team. 
 

Also Douglass and Manuel were playing less than 10 minutes away and they paused the game with 3:34 left in the 3rd Quarter and Manuel will be making the 1hr+ back to lex tommorow for them to play the last 15ish minutes of football.

yes that is correct the Cobin game was official since it was in the 2nd half. They reported in on WKYT Game Time about 25 minutes ago that it was an official 7-0 win for Corbin.

Gotcha, definitely a bad break for the defenders the game was looking a little promising for them.

Its up to the coaches. Most likely, Corbin wanted to escape with the W. If both coaches/ADs can't come to an agreement, game ends with the score as it was. 

 

Plus being 4A vs 6A, they wanted those RPI points, I'm sure. If they were in the same class, there would likely be a different decision that was reached.
