I believe it is the 536 bridge that goes over linking river. I could be wrong but I believe I read that a few years ago.

What isn't in Kenton County. LOL

Enrollments: Simon Kenton 1800+, Dixie Heights 1500+, Scott 1000+. 

Scott has the best facilities and, in recent years, better test scores; yet, some on the Independence border hold on to old narratives, as redistricting was blocked a few years ago. 

Will be tough sledding for Scott in this one. Campbell County returns most of their Offense and will put up plenty of points. I see something like 49-7. Based on scrimmages and recent history.

Anthrop and Bertram are an exciting combo. Interested to see how far they can carry Campbell this year. Are there any other players that will shine for Campbell this year?

I am hoping for a better game. But looking at the rosters, Scott is so young.  They are still trying to recover for having 4 coaches in 5 years.

When they have had consistency at the HC spot. They have had some good years. I think Dave Campbell was the first. Then Woolley had a decent run. Think the school and kids just need that consistent message.

Agreed.  In talking to former players last weekend. It seems Scott losses a lot of kids to other schools.  Which is hard when they really only have one feeder middle school.

That is the age old problem with alot of the middle of the road and lower programs. They lose the best to the best. I think it (as it always does) that it will take a class or two of winning games to correct itself. Funny how winning will do that!

Except it didn’t for Scott. They had a few really good years including one where they were one play away from beating Johnson Central and going to a state semi final. And the middle school won a handful of championships during the same time period. And they still lost kids, and couldn’t shake the reputation of being a bad football school. They had a little success right after Covid, but that was as much a function of playing in a really weak district. And the last few years with the coaching carousel have been really tough. It’s hard to figure out. Facilities are great, the school is solid academically, and there is community support. But there have been so many top flight players that have chosen to play elsewhere. When they’ve stayed they’ve done well, but it’s been awhile since any have stayed.

The youth program has good numbers as well, but the people in charge are touting Scott then turn and send their kids somewhere else once middle or high school hits.
