Opener at the Spectrum Graphics Classic in Maysville tonight. Anyone with a score/results?

Hamilton had a pretty nice game and Hall had a couple steals for layups. Bracken was down 29-27 at one point but then Russel went on something like a 12-2 run and took off from there.

82-46, Russell County I believe.

I said going in I thought these two teams on paper seemed pretty even and I thought it would be a good game.

 

I believe it was tied at halftime and then Bracken Co turned the ball over 281 times in the second half and became a participant in the Russell Co layup drill.

 

Give Russell Co credit for stepping up and playing great defense to get those turnovers, but some REALLY sloppy play by Bracken Co. Looked like they just quit after being down 20.

Bracken actually led in the final minute before the half in this one before a couple RC buckets gave them a 29-27 lead.

 

Second half was just a massacre. RC scored the first 12 points on a ton of BC turnovers to effectively end the ballgame. They traded baskets for awhile but RC closed on an 18-0 run while both emptied their benches and Bracken didn't score for the last 5:00+.

 

Hamilton managed to play pretty well still and finished with 19. Cooper 8, Hall and Jefferson 7, Smith 3, Williams 2.

I know Bracken from time to time will have to play a district game at The Fieldhouse,but otherwise they need to stay as far away from that place as possible. Any knowledgeable BP's care to guess how many games the Bears have won there in the last 10-12 years?

I think Coach Fisher won there a couple of times with teams in the late 90's,but since then would really like to know their record in Mason County.

From what I can tell Bracken's record in the Fieldhouse is 12-69 overall and 4-16 in the last 10 years. Most recent win there was in 2005 against St. Pat in the MCIT. Last time they beat Mason there was in 1998.

Thank PB Facts, really didn't think the Bears over all record was in double figures. Did remember Fisher's team beating the Royals in 98' at The Fieldhouse. Thanks for taking the time to look this up. Appreciate it.

There used to be a book you could buy that had the histories of all of the local schools,box scores,records,etc. Don't know where you could find it now though.
