Scottie Scheffler Wins 2025 PGA Championship

Featured Replies

Third major of his career, wins by 5 shots.  Started the day 3 ahead.  Halfway through he was tied with Jon Rahm, but Rahm blew up on the way home.

Factoid of the day.  Scheffler finished at 11 under par for the tournament.  On holes 14 and 15 he was 9 under.

Good thing LMPD wasn't there.

He is the first person to win his first three major championships by at least three shots in over 40 years (Seve).

I think he might have a few more majors left in him.

He’s not the worst golfer I’ve ever watched.

So you have seen me play?

I was surprised that -6 was good enough for second place.  Harris English posted a score and basically moved up the leaderboard over the course of 90 minutes, netting himself a nice payday.  Rahm melted down, but he has his $500 million in LIV money to cry over so not much sympathy from me.

Scheffler has been on fire for quite a while.  If he can sustain it, I can see him getting close to double digit majors because of his iron play.

Rahm hasn't been the same since he went to the LIV tour. He seems to be having a miserable time at both LIV and Grand Slam events.

I'm no fan of LIV.  It just strikes me as a casual golf league you'd see on the weekends at your local muni.  Most of the guys who have gone there (e.g. Cameron Smith) have seen their careers tumble into irrelevance.  Bryson is about the only strong player they have left in majors and I'd argue Bryson's fun YouTube series are a way he keeps his competitive fire going.  The others are either past their time (Sergio, Westwood, etc.) or have gotten fat off the money and no longer seem to care (Dustin Johnson is probably the worst offender here).

If you know Dustin's wife, you realize that no amount of money is enough for Dustin.

She's described on Wikipedia as a "celebutante," meaning famous for being famous. Dustin's probably looking for a second LIV tour to join!

Searching for Ms. Paula online is definitely NSFW (Not Safe For Work).
