"Pat Kelsey led the Louisville basketball team back to national relevance and the NCAA tournament in his first season as coach.

The school rewarded him for it on Thursday, with the University of Louisville Athletic Association's board approving a one-year extension to his original five-year deal that will keep him under contract through the 2029-30 season. The new pact will also increase this past season's ACC Coach of the Year's salary from $2.3 to $3.3 million."

Well deserved. I like the amount too. A million says great first year, let's keep it going, and doesn't overpay too early.

If they have a similar (or better) year next year, he'll get another bump.

Well deserved and Congrats to Pat!

Very deserving, he definitely earned it in my opinion.

I guess he won't be selling cars for dad for a while lol. He did a great job. He should be locked in for quite some time.

Just me, maybe, but if he came at me with that energy trying to sell a car, he'd scare me off the lot.  LOL

He's always got that to fall back on!
