UK fans (and I am one) are cracking me up today. 

This group complained (myself included) about Cal's comments on the conference tournament meaning nothing, but today my timeline is littered with fans talking about sitting Butler until the NCAA tourney and sitting other players who have aches and pains because tonight doesn't mean anything lol.

It really reinforces Calipari's point about the situation. While I can’t say that there’s nothing positive to be gained from these games, overall, the negatives seem to outweigh the benefits of participating.

I agree completely, it just cracks me up that it's acceptable when not from Cal. Also reinforces how sure it is that his time here had come to an end and everything has an expiration date. 

First with his year and injuries this year Butler should not play again until next Thursday or Friday.

Guys yes Cal said the tournament does not matter but when did he ever sit anyone? He said that but I'm sure he was trying to win when they stepped out on the floor. in Butler's case he has been sidelined at least 2 or maybe 3 times now for him to set is a no brainer any coach should do that. I just don't remember us the last 4 years when we exited the first game we played in the SEC tournament us sitting a lot of our starters to rest for the NCAA tournament or if they played the last regular season game they played in the tournament.

I may be totally off base but our performance in the NCAA Tournament has seemed to really side the past 4 years as well when we did not win a game in the SEC Tournament. We we were the SEC Tournament or making it to at least the finals we were making deep runs in the NCAA Tournament (Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4 and a title) just saying that if you look back when we done well in the SEC Tournament we did well in the NCAA Tournament but when are 0 or 1 and done in the SEC that is about what we did in the NCAA as well.
