February 2, 200719 yr Congrats Camel and thanks again for the updates on the Elliot/Paintsville game. :thumb: You are welcome, I didn't update as well as some of our other fine posters on the early games. But I figured I did okay. : ) Thank you for the kind words. As for the polls, yep, I know it's common that the more you lose, the higher you climb in the polls. Unless you are Kentucky. lol
February 2, 200719 yr Well on our way to 50 posts in 20 minutes. Loses really bring this place to life...
February 2, 200719 yr Fun game to watch. Singletary and Reynolds is quite a combo. UVa got the switch it wanted, Singletary on McRoberts on the perimeter and he got by him and hit a heck of a shot. Duke almost executed the final shot. BTW, I think you would be hard pressed to find a more impressive looking venue than what UVa has right now. That place looks sweet. The ribbon boards, the set up for the students. The place looks immcaulate. I saw the exterior in a magazine and the outside facade has a very colonial-Monticello type design with pillars and so forth. Duke falls to 5th place in the ACC...will they fall out of the top 10? I was about to post the same thing myself. Very nice facility. Another great NCAA hoop game. This time of year is like an extended Christmas.

February 2, 200719 yr Very entertaining game to watch, as a long-time ACC fan. UVa made a nice comeback at the end of regulation. The Legend got his points (19) on 7-18 shooting, but 2 rebounds through the first 40 minutes and a missed bunny at the end of regulation aren't going to get it done. Can't really call that a bunny when he played off a double team, and had a man draped on him...it almost dropped, but didn't..another learning experience...I am really starting to love the effort of McClure, he brings no offense but makes some serious defensive plays out there.

February 2, 200719 yr I'm really looking forward to being a member of this board when March rolls around with high school and all the madness in college. Always a great time of year.
February 2, 200719 yr Well on our way to 50 posts in 20 minutes. Loses really bring this place to life... True but most of the post thus far have actually been about the game, not the usual celebratory Duke lost type. I think after watching a great game like that go into OT, people just want to comment.
February 2, 200719 yr Great game!! I was obviously rooting for the Cavs to pull it out, but Duke actually impressed me tonight. I think a 13-15 range ranking is perfect for the Blue Devils. Is there a better one two punch in college than Singletary and Reynolds?? Those guys can ball!!
February 2, 200719 yr True but most of the post thus far have actually been about the game, not the usual celebratory Duke lost type. I think after watching a great game like that go into OT, people just want to comment. That is true this time around (so far). Wonder how long it will last? Like most everyplace else in college BB, getting conference wins on the road is no easy task. Ask the SEC West. Both teams were running on fumes; a real battle of wills the last 5 min. of regulation and during the OT.
February 2, 200719 yr It was enjoyable...and man I though that last one was going to fall. It was a good look; that's for sure. As good a look as humanly possible with 1.0 on the clock; great play call.
