Big recommendation for anyone who came of age in the 1990s. The role of record companies and the ultimate collapse of the business-as-usual music industry following the Telecommunications Acts of 1996 and then 9/11 goes a long way toward explaining why a lot of musicians that dominated the radio in the past are non-existent today. Good read!
