Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia and Bill Wagner are joining Dave Parker and Dick Allen as the newest members of the Professional Baseball Hall of Fame.  Ichiro was almost a unanimous selection, missing just one vote.   He is also the first Japanese-born player to make the Hall.

Congrats to all 3 men.

Guessing Suzuki goes in as a Mariner, Sabathia as a Yankee and Wagner as an Astro.

Just in the outside looking in (75% of the ballots is required to be selected):

Carlos Beltran (70.3%)

Andruw Jones (66.2%)

Next closest was Chase Utley (39.8%)

No complaints. Solid class....all are worthy. Parker and Allen should have been in a long time ago.

I'd like to know the rationale of the writer that left Suzuki off of their ballot.

Suzuki just the latest in a long line of players that were no Brainerd and deserved being on every ballot.

Probably the same voter that was the one that did not vote for Jeter and one of the three that did not vote for Griffey Jr. lol

That person voted for Mariano Rivera though.

I kept trying to place Bill Wagner and couldn't come up with who he is. Then I heard a news report about Billy Wagner making the HOF and knew immediately who he is.
