January 31, 200719 yr I think you mean Wicca. Some might call it pagan or witchcraft, but there are those that practice it that would claim those are pejorative terms. Check it out at Beliefnet to learn more. To be honest, it's pretty faddy among teenage girls, although it is not my intent to belittle it- I've met several comitted, serious practitioners.

January 31, 200719 yr No group of people are more likely to be conservative than middle aged white males... they're also the most likely to be serial killers. That could explain my overwhelming urge to blow away a box of cornflakes with my 12 guage. :creepy:  :scared:

January 31, 200719 yr Yes, but you and I both know that a fully automatic 12 guage shotgun is not really "street legal"... Frances That does open up a whole new box of flakes doesn't it... I could blast several cartons of cornflake boxes with that baby, becoming a true serial cereal killer... :sssh: I would too, if it didn't go against my grain.

January 31, 200719 yr I'm just trying to "rice" to the occasion. I know how you enjoy a "rye" sense of humor. I don't want to get "carrawayed" but I can "barley" contain my "corny" wit. I look forward to your "floury" response. :thumb:
January 31, 200719 yr Wicca has become very popular in the last 5-10 years, and at least locally it seems to be attributable to the popularity of the television show "Charmed." It is a cult like many others, that attaches itself to ancient practices and says that it is therefore ancient, too. Groups of Wiccans form what they call a "Coven," which is I guess as close to a group of church as you can get. There is a Wicca Coven in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Several church youth group members locally have left and said they are "going to the Coven." They talk about "The Force" and use a lot of other terminology, and have told me that "they feel at one with the Earth." I have not seen anything demonic about Wicca, though the girls dress in black clothing, makeup and dye their hair black (look a lot like Goths????). I know only one adult Wicca. I know a few teenage girls who were Wicca in high school, but have since grown up, gone away to college, gotten married, come back and have forgotten about Wicca and at least appear to be committed Christians.
