South Carolina 17 Clemson 14

Featured Replies

Final. Clemson goes for the win instead of OT and South Carolina gets the interception for the win. Clemson loses 3 games and two of them were to the SEC Georgia to start the season and South Carolina to end the season. They also lost to Louisville.

LaNorris Sellers is a beast.   I hope the Gamecocks are able to keep him around for a full career.

If Beamer is ever going to entertain the idea of another job, this might be the year he bolts.

What a choke job by Clemson. Was in FG range where could tie it but threw interception ending game.

That guy was by far the best athlete on the field.

For what job? Usually a lot of talent in SC and they take pretty good care of him.

South Carolina is consistently going to be mid level SEC. There will be several good jobs open in the next week.

But this is also a Gamecock team that had Alabama and LSU practically beat and let them slip away.  They could easily be sitting at 11-1 and in the SEC Championship talk.

Absolutely true, but how often can South Carolina compete at this level?

They are a lot like UK, can put together a great year every so often but can't sustain it from year to year to year.

In my opinion they are a notch below being in position to win at the highest levels consistently.

Spurrier had them at that level.  Carolina's big mistake was hiring Will Muschamp after The Head Ball Coach left.  He was as charismatic and exciting as soggy bread.  Beamer is rebuilding from a massive regression.

Better than SC?

Possibly, but maybe not. My larger point was if he was ever going to consider leaving, now is the time to do it. He's riding high right now, might as well see what his value is.

I can't believe that with the Miami loss Clemson has slid into the ACC title game.

Like I said in another thread.  IF Texas A&M can comeback and beat Texas (not looking good) and then beat Georgia, and Clemson beats SMU,  Carolina is sitting at 9-3 with wins over 2 conference champs.  It's be hard not to include them in the field.
