Another quick three and out for Pikeville.

Poor punt by the Panthers gives Sayre possession in Pikeville territory again, this time at the 37.

Sayre needs to take advantage this time.

First down Sayre at the 23.

Pennington to Coffman again for another 1st down.

First and goal Spartans at the 9.

Pennington is picked off in the endzone. The receiver got hit, jarring the ball loose and a Pikeville defender corralled it.

First and 10 Panthers at their 20.

Two drives that could cost Sayre as this game gets more time off the clock.

End of 1Q

Pikeville 0

Sayre 0

Coffman houses the Pikeville punt. He found the sideline and was gone.

7-0 Sayre

10:53 2Q

Anthony breaks free from 44 yards out to get Pikeville on the board. PAT is missed.

7-6 Sayre

7:48 2Q

14-6 Sayre.

Halftime

Sayre 14

Pikeville 6

Pennington rolled right and tucked it for Sayre‘s second touchdown.

Sayre could have potentially had at least another touchdown and maybe more on those two drives after stopping Pikeville in the first. Hopefully it doesn’t come back to bite them.

Still the same score, Pikeville driving.

End of 3Q

Sayre 14

Pikeville 6

The Spartans are driving to make it a two score game.

Pikeville turned Sayre away and Anthony ripped of big yardage into Sayre territory.

Still 14-6.
