The Aces of Owensboro Catholic (9-0) have gone undefeated in the district and now North Hardin (7-2) is the only team between them and an undefeated regular season. This game was a 37-14 win for the Aces on the road last year. However, North Hardin is vastly improved over last year and is coming down off of sweeping their district foes and going 6-0 overall in the largest conference in the state. The Aces cannot go through the motions on this one.

The Aces will also need to protect Brady Atwell. North Hardin features three serious sack threats in Malachi Willis, Christian Dimatulac, and Josiah Hope, all who have record more than 4 sacks.

Offensively, North Hardin is all air. They average over 200 passing yards per game but under 45 rushing yards per game. For the Aces, Jude Cecil and Nick Sims will need to be on their "A" game in the secondary as they may see more passes thrown against them in this game than any other game this year.

This should be fun. Atwell and two-way threats Vince Carrico and Miles Edge highlight an Aces team that have been dominant all year, blowing out the competition 8 out of 9 games. I don't think you can expect a blowout Friday though.

Atwell will have to break a sweat this week and go hard for four quarters. This is a well placed game on the schedule for both schools.

Give me the Aces by three scores.

Doesn’t North Hardin use two QB?  There avg’s in passing and rushing seem low to me!

North uses a 2 QB system with Durelle Loggins and Jakylin Kirkland. They have combined for 2113 passing yards.

This matchup favors Owensboro Catholic. The North Hardin secondary is their weakness on defense. Against Connor Hodge and CAL, they gave up 260 yards passing. Against Corbin, they gave up 334 passing yards, and against Bullitt East they gave up 213 Yards. Brady Atwell should have a field day against this secondary.

My Prediction: Owensboro Catholic 45 North Hardin 21

I've seen North twice this year. In one game, Loggins was clearly the better player. In the second game, it was Kirkland. I like the way they both play, although they aren't exactly the same. North consistently played a guy for two series and then rotated in the second guy for two series.

This is new for OCath. Will be testing it out this Friday and used throughout the playoffs.

Fantastic and thanks for sharing @Subway5024!

And this was probably my number one "beef" the last couple of years.  A great team like Owensboro Catholic with a legend at QB and video is hard to come by if you are a commoner.
