The final week of the regular season is here and this is certainly an intriguing finale for both of these squads. District play is over for both but this game may prove integral in preparing for the postseason. The Knights of Lexington Catholic (3-6) travel to Georgetown to face Scott County (5-4). This is the story of two teams who struggled out of the gate but both found some stability, to varying degrees, as the season progressed.

If Lexington Catholic wins, it will be their first non-district win of the campaign. Last week completed their undefeated run through the district and they only threw the ball 5 times. Their offense comes into this one averaging 181.6 passing yards per game 116.9 rushing yards per game. So look for Matthew Kern to throw the ball a decent clip more than he has in district play.

Defensively, the Knights have recovered 4 fumbles, 4 interceptions (2 returned for touchdowns) and 11 sacks. After their lowest points allowed total in a game being 17 before district play, they only allowed 21 total in the 3 district games.

Scott County's offense looks to pound the rock against the Knights. They average over 257 rushing yards per game to just 63 passing yards per game. Ali Hamdiyah and Kayne Garrett both for over 100 yards last week in the loss to Woodford County and Garrett had 3 rushing touchdowns.

Last week's game against Woodford has been the only game in which the Cardinals have played where the score was tight at the end. This week may end up being tight as well, and honestly, that may be exactly what the Cardinals need to be ready for the postseason.

Clock runner for Scott County. Lex Cath isn't big enough to stop Scott. They'll roll over the top of them.

Don’t think so, will be tough for the knights but they will come to play.

SC seems to have hit stride! Give me SC by two TDs!

You are good.  We all have our teams we support and just because we support a team doesn't mean we can't give unbiased reports.

Does anyone know of any video for this one?

This one sounds fun.

Under a minute remaining.

Scott County ball in the red zone looking to tie it late.

We're knotted at 29 on a Buddy Collins touchdown run and successful two point conversion.

:24 to go

The game is in OT. LexCath had first possession and scored.

36-29 Knights
