Burns v Hines round 1 went to the Maroons. Kasen Brock ran for 201 yards and added 6 touchdowns on the night in the clock runner. They held the cardinals to -3 rushing yards and 110 passing yards. This puts PC at 1-0 in the district. Also, on a side note the Maroons rescheduled their cancelled game with Corbin for week 11.

Madison Central bounced back well after the loss to Scott County with a 17 point win over Great Crossing on Thursday night. The Indians are sitting at 4-1. They are led by a strong rushing attack.

Can PC go on the road, stop the run, and get the big road win for RPI? Does Madison Central build off of the win over Great Crossing and push their win streak to two games?

Should be a top shelf football game. PC may be about to surprise some people.  Solid in all three phases.

Glad I get to call it on LakeCumberlandSports!

This game's come a long way since the preseason. I was on the Pulaski bounce-back bandwagon from the start, but no one around here was really talking high expectations for Madison Central. But here they are, ranked #9 in 6A, #5 in the RPI, and boasting three wins over ranked teams, including the only loss on Johnson Central's ledger.

Both teams ran the ball well last year, partly out of necessity because neither quarterback was feeling it that night. Both teams are equipped to keep it grounded again, but I like where Pulaski's quarterback is at at this point in the season.

Combine Anderson and Brock with a big, physical offensive line and a reliable run defense, and I'm taking the Maroons to win by two scores.
