Notre Dame 23 Texas A&M 13

Final from Kyle Field. A good win for the Irish! That was the first road win for the Irish vs. an SEC team since 2004.

It is a good win and their schedule is a little soft.

Big win for Notre Dame. With the overall schedule they have going forward, a loss would have not been good.

Defense was really outstanding especially the defensive backs.  The thing that concerned me about the defense was the lack of sacks but overall they were lights out.

Offensive line obviously needs the next few games to work together.  Riley Leonard and the receivers were not on the same page several times and that needs to be worked out over the next few games.

Purdue is no gimme but Louisville and Georgia Tech will both be ranked when they play ND.

Marcus Freeman really needed a statement game in his third year at the helm and this was it.

Hopefully the Irish use the next couple of games to work some things out with Leonard and the offensive line before they enter a stretch of playing Louisville, Stanford, and Georgia Tech.  Louisville has typically been an issue for Notre Dame for whatever reason and even Stanford's bad teams have given the Irish issues.
