Cincinnati Hughes travels to Dixie Heights Friday night.

Hughes won their first game against Dayton Dunbar (not to be confused with Paul Laurence Dunbar in Lexington) 28-8.  Hughes is a D-III school in Cincinnati with about 1200 kids grades 7-12.

Dixie comes off a loss to Simon Kenton where the Colonels' offense scored 35 points, almost 300 yards rushing, BUT gave up 50 points by allowing Pioneer receivers to run free all night long.

Hughes is traditionally a team that struggles to put it nicely.  Dixie needs this win to have any hopes of salvaging this season.  Will the Colonels have what it takes to stop the Big Red from Hughes?

Calpreps shows Dixie's rating around 3 pts better than Hughes. I don't know anything about Hughes but I'll say Dixie gets the win.

Ill take Dixie 42-21. As @New Colonel stated Hughes has traditionally struggled. I have a friend that coaches girls basketball at Hughes that loves to hype them up so that made me keep an eye out on what they have done the last few years and its been pretty underwhelming. I think Dixie adds another score on top of what they did last week but still gives up some decent points. Represent KY well in this one Colonels!

If Hughes has any speed in the receiver area will Dixie defense continue to struggle with coverage?

Yes, they have some wideouts with speed.  They struggle in the trenches, so I expect the Dixie pass rush to negate the passing threat.

Last night it was Texas Roadhouse feeding the Colonels, thanks Texas Roadhouse!
