This Friday night 4A Doss travels to 6A Southern for a inter city matchup. Last Season these two teams opened the season against each other with Southern winning 10 to 0. Doss finished their season 2 and 8 losing in the first round of the 4A playoffs to Franklin County. Southern was 4 and 7 losing in first round of 6A playoffs to Ryle.

Doss is one of my surprise teams this season and I look for them to have a huge turn around kind of like Atherton did last season. They have 7 starters back on offense with a big offensive line and a nice RB in Jordan Robertson. On defense they have 9 starters back where Jordan Robertson leads them on defense as well as DL Nasir McFadden.

Southern has 4 starters back on offense and 6 starters back on Defense. On defense they are lead by all district LB Timarsean Rogers.

I look for to Doss to get the win here to start off a very good season for them and a huge turn around from last year.

I think I'll go with Doss in this one.

Doss is athletic and has some size up front! Give me the dragons.
