I dont know if he is there behind pettigrew. I got a chance to see some kids like profitt and miller. I do feel like he is more of an impact guy than miller but not profitt.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but it was my understanding that our friend from the north, mr. ky himself at umass was interested.

 

Profitt and Knowles are two different styles. Profitt likes to use his strength and Knowles can do what ever he wants. IMO Knowles is better suited for the college level.

If Kentucky is not looking at him they should. He is a very gifted player.

If you believe he may only be the fifth best senior in Kentucky, you're not just a little wrong. He's one of the top two seniors in the state, that's an easy call.

The kid is quite good I agree, but the competition is stiff at the top with Pettigrew, Walls, Beckham, Brooks, etc. He could fit in my top 5, but the only player that I am sure is the best player in KY right now is Pettigrew.

:thumb: We will just have to wait and see where he goes. More universitys are showing interest each week. Xavier has been after him for a long time.

They were that night. VA Commomwealth may have been the other, I know they were coming to watch him, not sure which game. Don't see him going to U Mass...already have all the guards they need.

GS, since you have the inside scoop on the situation, where do you see Preston going? Who is recruiting the hardest? Who does Preston seem to lean toward?

Brooks has committed to Penn St. and Beckham to IUPUI if I am not mistaken.

Pettigrew has been getting your usual mid-majors up to this point where he is now getting looks from the bigger schools, UK being one of them.

Walls again has the EKU, WKU, Georgetown, etc. He was offered by UMass but refused b/c he didnt want to go that far away. Contact was made by Coastal Carolina after the Beach Ball, and UK has offered a walk-on opportunity I believe.

Also, I believe Ty Proffitt committed to Notre Dame.

I think he shoots the 3 as well as Chris Lofton did in High School. He has a high Basketball IQ.

 

You can't be serious. He's good but he's not the shooter C-Lo was in high school. Lofton is the most prolific shooter of all time in the bluegrass. He won a state championship on his jump shot alone and a runner-up. Knowles is not even in Lofton's league.

What I have posted so far is all that I want to post. The main concern is, as a poster said before with the analogy of Lofton... is to find the right school, coaching staff and system where he will be successful. I know that is what I want for him and all the fine athletes across our state.

Exactly. We've had enough "dead horse" threads about Lofton to sink a battleship. Bottom line is that there was a perfect fit for him in Knoxville and he flourished. I certainly hope for the same for Preston Knowles, who hasn't been the secret here in the 10th Region that he has outside of it.
