The stable of athletic players will be full again as many juniors and sophs played alot last year. As usually the story they will have to find and build some quality linemen to complement the backs to win. The new district will help as they should compete with Bullitt Cen. and Southern every year.

Just got word from a very reliable source that coaching change is now in effect...the change is due to continued health issues with current(ex) Head man.

Will (would) one of the assistants be taking over?

In good health or not...that was one of the issues with the administration...plus they are looking to go in another "direction"...there is an assistant in the picture, but the job has to be posted first...

HE is agood coach but not ready experience wise for that monumental task.

I am just saying the I 'heard' that. I am asking if it is true and if anyone knows if there is interest in Higgins? Is he their #1 choice or is someone else or is it going to be a wide-open hiring process. I am not 'in the know' at Fern Creek by any means.

Wow, Coach Higgins has been offered every job that has opened this year. Marshall, Henderson (which is not even open), Fern Creek, Male, and I am sure more will be named later. If he is in such high demand in Jefferson Co. why did he have to go to Trigg to land a HC job? :sssh:

Fern Creek must land a good one this time. They need stability pretty badly. I really hate this for their players. This has to feel like groundhog day for them. (Pun intended)
