Never doubt Tom Izzo in Round One, no matter how bad his team was throughout the season. 

I did and I'm ashamed.

This was my first time ever picking against Izzo in the first round. I did because of how down the B1G has been and my belief that Michigan State didn’t really belong. I used to always say good or bad, never pick against Tom Izzo in the first round of the tournament and I was right.

Izzo is always good for a game like this. It has become the norm. His team underperforms all year, wins a mild-upset game in the tournament, and people convince themselves he is one of the greatest coaches to ever live. "You never count out Izzo in March." We generally can, actually.
