The new look Memorial Coliseum will open in the fall of 2024.  I say the All “A” Classic state tournament and 11th Region Tournament be held there.  I know it’s hard with volleyball and women’s basketball playing there.  But surely they can work something out with UK, right?  The women’s season ends a week earlier (typically) at the SEC Tournament.   And if they are still practicing/playing they can use Rupp Arena.  It’s has hosted the 11th Region tournament 13 times with the last being in 1994.  Murray, Western, Northern, Eastern, Morehead, and Pikeville make it work.

All-A will never move from Richmond. They actually make money from the city to host there.

Yet they have played at other places. Frankfort for a while and Corbin this year. I know Corbin we because of renovations.

This would be an awesome venue.

When we were at the All A this year, the talk was that there wasn’t a host lined up for next year yet.  The renovations at EKU were allegedly running behind and it would not be ready.  Memorial Coliseum would be awesome but  imagine it would be hard to work out.

I would love to see the ALL A come to NKU once just as a hat tip to its roots.

Parking for that event at Memorial Coliseum would definitely be a challenge.

I have mixed feelings about that.  It would be fun to have it close so more fans can come and not be as expensive, but some of my best bball memories with my kids involved roads trips with hotel stays at the All A.
