Well these 2 meet again this season with another date at Truist Arena.  Their first matchup back on Jan 26th had Ryle dominating the game and Highlands unfortunately not getting good sight lines at the "beautiful" arena.  Birds shot 29% from the field, going only 5 for 20 behind the 3 point line.  Another glaring state, 1 you see that right 1 Free Throw attempt!  Will the officials from another region help them out getting to the line?  They got there 16 times on Sunday.  Final score on that evening was Ryle winning 59-36.  Marissa Green was held to only 4 points, going 2 for 12 from the field.  Will she come up huge once again on the Big Stage like Sunday?

Also, can Highlands some how contain Ryle's 3 dynamic scorers with Quinn Eubank, Sarah Baker & Jaelyn Jones who scored a total of 41 points all together in the first meeting.  This is a TALL task for the Birds come this Friday night.  But it's why you play the game.  Gotta play loose and have FUN, these young Birds will fight and scrap until the end. Proud to have followed these young ladies thru this season, don't know if a lot of people (that don't bleed Bluebirds Blue) would have picked them in the Final 4 of the Region Tournament at the beginning of the season.

The Birds are trying to make it back to the 9th Region Finals for the 1st time since the 2012/13 season when they lost to the school in Park Hills in the finals......

Since then they have made it to the Semi's 5 times ('14, '15, '16, '19 & '21), but just can't get over that hump to get back to the Championship game.....Will this be their year?

You can watch both semi final games on (859) Sports Radio with HHS and Ryle at 6:30 and Holy Cross and Cooper at 8:00.
