2023 Outcome

Record: 11-2

A thrilling takedown of eventual 5A champion Bowling Green in Week 1 elevated already sky high expectations behind dual Mr. Football contenders, but title hopes were torpedoed by Mayfield for the second year in a row.

? LCA's 2023 Statistical Leaders

? Cutter Boley (QB) | Brady Hensley (RB) | Parker Chaney (WR/DB) | Garrison McKinney (OL) | Chase Fuller (OL) | Nate Barnhardt (WR/DB) | Will Rich (TE) | Kenyatta Hardge (DL) | Major Brown (LB) | Will Bivens (LB) | Jayden Taylor (LB) | Chase Couch (DL)

? Saxton Howard (WR) | Hayes Preston (OL) | Jake Darby (OL) | Trefor Thomas (OL) | Holden Klaiber (OL) | Hunter Adams (LB) | Mac Darland (LB) | BJ Evans (RB/DB) | Jackson Dillow (DB)

2024 Outlook

The absence of Boley and Hensley all but guarantees a different look for the Eagles, but LCA is a talent factory, whether it's developed in their own ranks or attracted elsewhere. They've landed the highest of high impact transfers each of the last two off-seasons, so we can't say with much certainty what the Eagles will look like in 2024. Experience on the offensive line and the linebacker duo of Darland and Adams should be strengths, though the linebackers won't have the security of playing behind Hardge as he wrecked game plans and ate blockers whole. Championship expectations will persist and the schedule is in place to ensure preparation for a run at the title that has eluded them under Doug Charles. But from where we stand at the moment, there is more uncertainty around LCA than we've seen in several years.

BJ Evans is now at Tates Creek.

Todd Darland - Defensive Assistant

That district is a RPI killer.

I agree.

LCA's non-district schedule is amazing.

Back to your point, the RPI is broken and it is not an accurate reflection of reality.
