January 22, 200719 yr Here is prayers for Lofton for a quick recovery. He is one heck of a player to say the least.
January 22, 200719 yr Ran across a headline somewhere earlier saying he could be out for up to 3 weeks.
January 22, 200719 yr Ran across a headline somewhere earlier saying he could be out for up to 3 weeks. I just received a post on another email board I'm on related to the University of Tennessee that said that Lofton has now had x-rays that confirm no break. It is a sprain. He is out 1-3 weeks with the team taking their time to be assured that he is healed properly before allowing him to return. I think that is definitely in his best interest due to the fact that his game is predicated on stopping and starting quickly - techniques that will definitely put strain on a bad ankle. I wish him the best in his recovery.
January 22, 200719 yr Good news for my avatar considering what some of the speculation was. And he's a pretty quick healer.
January 22, 200719 yr Author Tennessee will lose by at least 20 when they go into Rupp without Mr Lofton and that's a generous guess. If Kentucky is shooting really well and really playing hard like they are capable, I could see Kentucky winning by 30.
January 22, 200719 yr What is Tennessee going to do when they roll into Rupp Arena, w/out Mr.Lofton? My guess is LOSE. And I think they would have lost with Mr. Lofton this year; this just makes the margin more like 16-18 instead of 4-6.
January 23, 200719 yr The word now is 1-3 weeks. Don't be surprised to see Lofton on the floor Sunday.
January 23, 200719 yr The word now is 1-3 weeks. Don't be surprised to see Lofton on the floor Sunday. I will be shocked if he plays Sunday. I don't like Pearl one bit, but even he wouldn't risk the potential further damage by playing Chris before he's ready.
