Overall, Kentucky has played well defensively against the Louisville running game. Smart and good for them so far, make Plummer beat you.

    Awesome defensive stand by Louisville, points of some kind before halftime could be big especially with Louisville getting the ball to start the third quarter.

    Cats drive stalls after 1 first down and they have to punt with 2:34 left in the half. The defense cannot allow any points here as Louisville will get the ball to begin the 3rd quarter.

    Ugly drive and time management there by Louisville. Kentucky is very much in this one, anyone’s game as of now. Louisville needs a much better second half offensively.

    Halftime, Louisville 10 Kentucky 7. 

    Cats defense does their job and does not allow Louisville any points on the last drive of the first half. We need to do it again as Louisville will have the ball to start the 2nd half.

    The running game has been disappointing so far.

    Louisville has also dropped at least two interceptions. Have to make those plays.

    If Louisville can score out of halftime and make it a two score lead, it completely changes the game. Big series for both teams

    Touchdown Louisville! A big play in the game to put the Cards up 10 at 17-7 with 5:50 left in the 3rd quarter.

    That version of the running game makes this game less dramatic. We’ll see if they can do it again.
