Fire Kenny Payne.

Happens all the time with preseason games, Payne needs another season to get things turned around.

No he doesn't, and he won't get another one.

Not really sure about that, shall see what develops this season, do you have inside information to share?

You don't need inside information, just need to pay attention to what's going on.

They went 4-28 last season, he should have been fired in March. There is no more "a coach needs ___ years to turn a program around" with the transfer portal. Not to mention, the team wasn't 4-28 bad when he got here.

They've talked about how there's more talent, talked about how they would be better, etc in the offseason, and then lose an exhibition to a D2 school right out of the gate. Nothing is different.

They'll win 5-10 games and Payne will be fired by the middle of April.

Gotcha, we shall see how it all works out.

I could quasi see last year coming.  The whole FBI thing was still hanging over them most of the off season.  When it was finally ruled upon, it was too late to do any real damage with the portal.  Unless this year is leaps and bounds better, I agree, he goes.

The problem I have with that is the FBI cloud had been there for years and no team was ever that bad. Chris Mack got them to #1 at one point. That team last year wasn't 4-28 bad, but that's where they ended up.

So much for optimism towards having somewhat of a better basketball season. And I’m in full agreement that Payne isn’t the guy after losing this game, preseason or not.

Some coaches are really good assistants but not a good head coach, looking like Kenny might fall into that category
