Male (9-1) will host Great Crossing (2-8) in the first round of the KHSAA 6A Playoffs. Male is coming off a 30-23 win over Manual. Great Crossing is coming off a 42-34 win over Collins.

This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.

Respectfully disagree. I've seen Male put the hammer down on lesser opponents in multiple sports over the years - it's in their DNA.

It might be against Males 2s and 3s but I still think they score 14.

Did a little digging ~ 

Under Coach Wolfe, Male's defense has in Round 1 games, allowed 51 points ...

... in 13 games, including 5 shutouts ~

✓ That's less than 4 points per game.

23 points came last year via PRP, mostly due to QB Kayden Anderson and Receivers Jakub Dixon and Kendrick Jackson. All respect to Jeremiah Clark & Co., but the '23 Warhawks aren't the '22 Panthers. 

This Bulldog team may be as good as any Great Crossing has ever faced, including the '22 Championship Douglass team that beat them 54-0. 

I'm predicting two possible scoring outcomes: 

1. GC scores zero points, and has less than 125 yards from scrimmage. 

2. GC scores one TD on a kickoff return by one of the Johnsons, and has less than 125 yards from scrimmage.  

Male at home on Maxwell field scores 50 either way. 

I think Male has already scored.

Warhawks in the redzone when play resumes. They held the ball for all but about 20 seconds of the opening frame.

Commentary crew implying that Male has held a few defensive starters out. If true, that would explain a lot of what we're seeing so far.
