Daviess County 14 McCracken County 6

Featured Replies

McCracken takes the loss at home. Although not a huge favorite, this is a game McCracken needed to win.

Surprised McCracken lost this game. Congrats to Daviess County.

Funny game Daviess County looked like they were going to win 49-6. Nobody scored in the second half.

Did they though? They’re going to play at Barren now instead of hosting North Hardin. I think they just earned themselves a much more winnable game. And stayed away from Central Hardin on the other side as well. They’re probably not going beyond the second round, but they’ve got a much better chance of doing that than Daviess County does now, IMO.

That would be cool.

I doubt they lost on purpose but you are correct they ended up with an easier draw by losing.

Oh no doubt they tried to win. But they had the rare “won by losing” situation.

My only thought is how will they play against Barren. I don’t think that game would be a automatic win.

I agree witht that in terms of playoffs, I should have clarified it being more of a needed win just simply for team morale and putting together a guaranteed .500 record in the regular season or better, which would have been big for them after the last few seasons.

I know several of these guys on the Mustangs, and how bad this probably felt to them. They do expect to win, and I applaud them for that attitude going into every game.

McCracken isn’t good enough to take it for granted, but this is a Barren County team that last won a playoff game 31 years ago, their only one in the history of the school. I like McCracken’s chances.

Daviess County with the win? This has to be the most shocking score of the week in my opinion, congratulations to the Panthers.
