The article states that he wants to go somewhere that he can play, because of his passion for basketball. Meaning he wants a lot of PT I suppose. That won't happen right away at UK, so he may not even be interested in playing there.

But if he is commited to the system and likes to rebound, I think Tubby would find time for him... (Remember, Hayes started his Freshman year and never relinquished the role).

Im just not sure if he's that player, a 6'6 workhorse like Hayes doesn't come around very often. However I too have yet to see him play.
January 18, 200719 yr I think that they (U.K.)should give him some consideration if Tubby thinks that he could possibly have a spot for him. I love to see an in state kid get a chance to play for the Cats. What it will come down to will imo be like another has mentioned is that how things go with Patterson, Moses and Lucas. An in state kid with a good atitude and work ethic sounds pretty good to me. If this kid is like most KY. prepsters he would probably love the chance to play at U.K.. I would say that if Tubby considers him or offers that it would be signed, sealed and delivered. I would say lets go after him. JMO

January 18, 200719 yr For those that know, is Pettigrew wanting UK to recruit him? Here in lies another Chris Lofton scenario?? UK will either come out looking like a genius or really stupid. I believe Pettigrew has stated that UK would without a doubt be his choice if they offered. Supposedly is a big Cats fan. As of late, UL has hopped in to the race and wants him to play both football and basketball. Word is the kid could turn out to be an excellent TE, and football might be his best option in the long run. Even through all this, I'm pretty sure he's stated he has no interest in playing football in college. I think UK should lock this kid up while they have the chance, his numbers are unreal and he's playing on a team where he is double and triple teamed every night. Never hurts to have a Kentucky boy on the roster, not to mention that this kid can really ball. I've also heard Pettigrew is in the gym just about every second he has, which tells me a lot of about a player.

January 18, 200719 yr Appearently UK has been 'texting' him lately, but have yet to actually pick up the phone and call the kid. He was quoted as saying that it bothers him that UK isn't showing much interest. He stated that Ole Miss, UMass, and Missouri have all been "turning up the heat lately." This doesn't bode well as far as him ending up at UK, IMO. The school doesn't seem to be nearly interested in him as he is in them. It does sound like he would be a cat if UK did indeed offer him, however. Anyone know what kind of student he is? Any chance we could get him an academic scholly like Ravi had?
