I was reading about this kid today in the Lexington Herald and it said he was not being recruited by UK. Should UK offer this kid a Scholarship?The Kid is 6ft5 and weighs 220,He leads the state in scoring 35.6 pts a game and 14.3 rebounds a game. Looks like to me that this kid can Play. I hope Tubby starts to take a closer look at this kid. I would hate to see another good player get away like Chris Lofton did.

I don't think he would get the PT he wants at UK. He'd be a better fit for WKU or somewhere along those lines. I do think he's good enough to play at UK, but he would be a Harris type player.

This is a tough choice. And one where I think I, as well as everyone else would need to see him play. Ive not seen him. I understand hes a great scorer and rebounder, but hes a 6-5 PF. I think if UK thinks they can develop his perimeter skills more and we do not get Patterson then Pettigrew would be someone we need to take a serious look at.

Yes, bring him in along with Marshall Moses to round out a very solid recruiting class.

I don't think he would get alot of PT the first two years but I believe he could be a starter his Jr. year. He seems like he would fit right in with Tubby because of his passion and Hard work.

Thanks, I'm aware that how tall someone is in a program is not necessarily how tall they truly are; however, after standing next to Chuck Hayes, I can tell you that he's a legitimate 6'6''.

When Hayes got to the NBA he was actually measured and went at a little over 6'6 BAREFOOT.

I saw Pettigrew as a sophomore, and he was every bit of 6'5 then. He had a teammate then, Zipp Duncan, who was 6'5 and he was the same height as him.

UK should definitely get in on Pettigrew. They dont have to offer him right now, but UK could have their hat in the ring in the instance that UK doesnt get any of the big 3 they are going after right now in Moses, Patterson, and Lucas.
