Dayton will go to Park Hills this Thursday to play Newport Catholic at Cov Cath, game time being at 7 pm. Based on how seasons have been for both so far, I’d say Newport Catholic is the favorite, but I could see this being a better game than others played in the past. What are some thoughts about Thursday night’s game?

Running Clock 2nd quarter. Dayton will not be able to hang with NCC, especially with losses to Owen and Gallatin.

I can understand why that’s thought about and I’m still surprised that Dayton lost those games, especially thinking more to how they beat Ludlow as they did. The win against Bellevue was good too, but Bellevue is clearly in change processes. 

NCC is still banged up and trying to get some key players healed for the stretch.  I think this will be closer than most think.  I expect another week of a heavy run game which keeps the score lower unless there are a lot of long runs for TD’s.  I do think it is an NCC victory but they can’t expect Dayton to just lay down.  They will have to work hard to earn it.
