As an officially second year player (contrary to how the official Warriors site lists him), the minimum for that is $664,209. However, Kelenna signed with 63 days of the season already gone. So the final 107 are prorated.

 

664,209 divided by 170, times by 107 = 418,060.96.

 

And so that's what he's on for.

I still laugh at the Warriors... They still haven't made the playoffs... Even the Clippers have made the playoffs... Come on.

So far he is 5-7 and 3-4 from 3's tonight with 14 points. He is 13-24 from 3 land since he joined. How could you not keep him around????

I think Harrington is the best of the bunch but Indy did OK with this deal.

Easy. Less minutes. Not to mention they got Jasikevicius who is very capable as well. Nellie has been going small a bit lately, as he was running Matt Barnes at the 4 for a while, so there could still be minutes out there for him.

The Indiana Pacers traded Al Harrington and Stephen Jackson to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday for forwards Troy Murphy and Mike Dunleavy as part of an eight-player deal designed to shake up two struggling teams.

 

I like that trade for the Warriors also...Although I agree, there choices in big men are limited..

Zarko Cabarkapa / 6-11 / 230 lbs

Adonal Foyle / 6-10 / 270 lbs

Patrick O'Bryant / 7-0 / 249 lbs

Harrington will run the 4 in Golden St.

Biedrins is playing average this year... Foyle has never been much of an impact guy... I know nothing about Zarko... O'Bryant is down in the D-League now and is still a couple of years away from contributing.

 

The Warriors tried hard this offseason to sway Harrington to come to them, and I would've supported that since it was a FA acquisition, but everything they gave up for him it may not be worth it... Troy Murphy will be missed on the glass.

 

This probably isn't good for Kelenna, because they got Stephen Jackson back. He'll spend a lot of time at the end of the bench, and PROBABLY go back down to the D-League.

How so? He was really only playing about 20 minutes since he came back from injury.

Good trade for the Pacers??? I think the Warriors got the better of the deal. Harrington is a stud and Dunleavy and Murphy are both EXTREMELY overrated.

Harrington is pretty good, but is a few years away from being a major player. I wouldnt say they are overrated, I would say they are overpaid. I look for Murphy to be solid in Indy alongside JO. He will get more minutes more than likely. Dunleavy could end up at the 2 or backing up Granger at the 3.

Yes, good trade for the Pacers. The only questionable position they'll have is SG... Murphy isn't great, but he's easily a worthy starter. He has a big salary, but I wouldn't say he's overrated.

 

The Warriors got rid of nearly all their front court production... They have Biedrins, and that's all.

 

The Pacers also got Ike Diogu, who I personally believe is going to be great once he reaches his potential.

 

Not like the Warriors were going anywhere, but still... They'll be about the same.

Marquis Daniels has been solid in past opportunities to get big minutes. He could step in to that 2 spot well. Dunleavy may get a chance at the 2 as well. As one of those guys that was "the next Bird" maybe Indy is a good spot for him.

The Warriors didnt have much front court production with what they gave away anyway. Diogu got little to no clock, Dunleavy would play 25 min. one night and 8 the next. Murphy hadnt played much since he got back from injury. Harrington steps into the 4 spot. I guess that doesnt count for anything?

Both teams kind of traded their junk away, the main purpose for Indy though was starting over and getting Jackson out of town.

KA isnt going anywhere, he played 48 mins last night with 28 pts and 7 rb's and only 1 TO. I think he will still play 20+ mins per game

An Eastern Conference scout thought Golden State got the best of the deal. But our scout also thought that Jackson and Al Harrington demanded the ball too much on offense, and that Murphy and Dunleavy (if he stays) will be good complements to O'Neal because they won't demand the ball. It's clear the Pacers have put their immediate future on O'Neal's considerable shoulders. But can he shoulder the load of being The Man?

Who Made Out Best?

Loughery: This is a pretty equal trade as far as the top four players – Harrington, Jackson, Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy. I think all of them will play better with their new teams. Murphy and Dunleavy will play better in the East where it’s more of a slow down, halfcourt game. Murphy never fit Don Nelson’s type of player. He likes more versatile players with quickness. Jackson and Harrington will fit that much better and will enjoy playing in the open court game of Nelson and the West much better. On the back end of the deal, Golden State has a slight edge getting Josh Powell and Sarunas Jasikevicius.
