January 17, 200719 yr Arkansas loses 2 junior defensive starters to the draft and now Mustain. Florida is losing a lot defensively plus more underclassmen coming out. Tennessee was an older team. LSU is losing Russel and others. Will UK beat one of the heavyweights next season in football in 2007?
January 17, 200719 yr No! UK will be better, but schedule gets tougher IMO, because of where games are played. We still can't win the SEC until we have quality depth.
January 17, 200719 yr Florida and LSU... No UT and Arkansas... only chance is if the defense plays similar to how it did the last couple games of the season will they have a chance... I believe UK will be able to score some points on most teams.

January 17, 200719 yr The question is will UK beat one of the "heavyweights." I think they'll have a decent chance to beat Arkansas or Tennessee. Although I don't consider Arkansas a heavyweight. I don't think they have any chance of downing LSU or Florida.

January 17, 200719 yr LSU and Florida will always be power houses, they don't really have rebuilding years. Kentucky will be a top 25 team, maybe, but they still will not be a "top" team in the SEC...

Kentucky looks to be moving in the right direction but are no where close to the SEC elite status.

I feel like a broken record, Yoter 1st comment - I don't agree 2nd comment - possible but very doubtful Kentucky imo will win 6 with the tougher ooc schedule plus the always brutal SEC. I do feel that the Cats are finally moving in the right direction and for the first time in a looooooooooooong time and I am looking foward to next season. JMO
