I really don't know how this is going to play out but there has been a black cloud over this program since last season.  Will it be fixable?  I am hoping so.  There are too many great student athletes in this program and such recent success for the house to all of a sudden burn down.

Here are the incoming Seniors that either started or made significant contributions last year, that will hopefully be coming back:

Chad Gesenhues, Jack Haggard, Adarsh Khullar, Tyler Whitney and Jack Wilson.  If all of these guys show up, the Birds will have a really good nucleus to build around.

Stay tuned.....

Who would you consider to be the other "questionable" hires?

Assume you are asking me that question?  Former volleyball, cheerleading, girls soccer just off the top of my head.

Missed the quote button.  Just curious, thanks for the reply.

I thought I would post a good news story for the Birds! A couple of weeks ago there was a town hall meeting to show off the plans for the upcoming 18 months to bring this picture to life! This will benefit not only the Highlands soccer program but will be a HUGE plus for the Highlands Track & Field team with the track being expanded to 8 lanes which will allow them to host bigger and better invitationals and Regional meets. The Fieldhouse looks sweet and the stands will be on the other side of the Fieldhouse for an awesome view to the field. Plus it eliminates you looking into the sun as a fan! The trick on your eyes is the new layout rotates the field 90 degrees from the current layout.

Current plan if no unforeseen hurdles occur is to break ground after the Highlands soccer season comes to a close this fall. With the completion date roughly around July 1, 2024.

Fingers crossed, that this keeps moving forward!

Hopefully they sideline and track aren't so close, or at least don't have a concrete curb.

I kept looking at that picture wondering where the heck that is. Then I read your post again and saw your comment that they are rotating everything ninety degrees. Now it makes sense. Looks very nice.
