Does anybody have anything they would recommend for carrying when not wearing a belt? I wear a lot of athletic gear in the warmer months, and I still want to be able to carry comfortably.

Seriously, I would say find the most compact 9mm you can live with and use a pocket holster.

This is what I wear to work every day and on my days off.  I like it more than my Crossbreed holster because it does a decent job of actually holding the gun rather than it just sitting in the holster.  It’s designed to be worn with a belt but it works fine in gym shorts.   I wear the single clip design.

Unfortunately I can’t carry at work. The holsters I currently have work just fine if I’m wearing a belt, but I’ve yet to find one that I can wear without a belt, that won’t pull my pants down.

As long as you’re wearing shorts or sweats that can be tied, you should be fine.  At least I haven’t had an issues if that’s the case.  

Search "conceal carry shirt" on Amazon.  Several options from undershirts to hoodies and in between.  Glock 43 is a smallish 9 mil that feels really good.

I’ve got a Glock 26 that is my primary carry, and also a Springfield XD 40 subcompact that I will carry occasionally.

I've had a glock 27 for years and have always enjoyed it.  I'm not a big fan of the Glock 43x, it's too small/thin in my opinion.

 

Here is a couple of pics of what my Glock 26 looks like in the G-Code holster.  It's more snug than most concealed carry holsters I've seen.  As of 5 or 6 month ago, this thing is with me every day.
