Final. The win snaps Pikeville’s 38-game winning streak vs. 15th teams dating back to March 2021. Pikeville was going for their 5th consecutive title.

So happy for Coach Feltner and the girls. It all finally paid off.  Tough way for Pikeville to go out- missing a game tying FT with under a second to go.  

A tall task awaits the Lady Dawgs Wednesday afternoon, as they'll face Region 7 Champ Sacred Heart. The Valkyries are 32-3 and undefeated against state competition. Sacred Heart is #16 in the country, according to MaxPreps, with their only losses to teams ranked above them.  

Big surprise, and huge congrats to Lawrence County.  Getting Sacred Heart is worst-case scenario, but enjoy the extra practices and the thrill of running onto the court at Rupp in front of friends, classmates, your family, and thousands of other people.  What a great experience.

Pikeville had a very solid season, advancing to EKU in the All A State before losing to eventual champion Holy Cross, and then making the region finals.  They have a very nice program at Pikeville.

Big, Big Win. First 30 win season. First Regional title for the Lady Bulldogs. Actually the first basketball banner to hang in Louisa, boys or girls. 

Lost in OT to Pikeville last year in the Regional final. First win ever over the Lady Panthers? Certainly the first since "The Scoreboard" started tracking full season records in 1998/99. 

Great news for girls hoops fans. We'll get to see Kensley Feltner at Rupp Arena. Go Dawgs!

Lawrence County boys won the 15th in 2016.  Lost to eventual State Runner-Up Doss in the 1st Round 66-57.

So happy for the Lady Bulldogs! I'm always glad when schools that our in our Middle School conference which I have ran for 15+ years for the girls and 20+ for the boys make it to the state tournament.
