What a great game. Back and fourth the entire night with the Dragons taking a lead late and missing some free throws to give Caverna a chance for the win at the buzzer, but the Dragons would hold on and prevail. Great season for Caverna and I expect them to be very good next year.

The Dragons will play Larue for the 18th District title Friday night. 

Wow, Caverna had won the previous two meetings by 17 and 27. Looking at schedules, though, Green County came in winning seven of their last ten. Dragons getting hot at the right time.

Nice win for former Mason County standout Jordan Gilbert’s squad. 

First upset in the region. The key for this was that the Dragons didn't play intimidated. First two meetings, they played very timid and almost afraid of Caverna. They didn't play that way tonight. Nice win for their program. 

I was really pulling for Steve Barker and Caverna to get to the 5th Region Tournament.  They have had a great year and that program is in good hands moving forward.  Congrats to Green County on a great game!
