One of the more popular names floating out there is Ron Noonchester, the boys and girls track coach and middle school football coach. It is also appears that Coach Noonchester has made it known that he is interested.

There was some excitement around the middle school team this fall. May be the perfect guy to latch onto and ride that excitement back to varsity football, similar to the move Brossart made years back. 

The problem as I see it is the school system as a whole.  That is from the Super on down.  A plan needs to be developed system wide and followed.  Discipline needs to be restored and kids and parents held accountable.  Dayton seems to have turned things around with strong leadership in place and Ludlow has been doing it for years.  The kids are there, they need to be talked to at a young age and coached up to play the game, but hold them accountable. COVID really changed the landscape, but things can improve with strong leadership at the top with whom the teachers follow and get support from.  Result is a win win for all involved.

I agree with this on every point 100%. If a school’s higher level leadership/administration isn’t solid, that’s a concern within itself alone.

With the administration changes at Dayton with their superintendent and others since it happened, Dayton has made serious strides academically. And getting Jesse Herbst as football coach helped a lot too along with all else. 

Numbers are the main problem but from what I have heard the kids in the youth league are now being funneled to other schools in the area.
