Final last night from Boyle.

Garrard had 2 shots at the end to win and Boyle comes away with a great win.   Boyle was up 12 at one point in the game and Garrard ends up taking a 7-point lead in the second half.  Plus FT shooting hurt Garrard in this game going 1/6 and a technical foul on both Cooper for Garrard and Garrard's Coach.

Can Hager and Tarter play together?  I haven't seen Boyle since early, and was really impressed with the Hager kid as an 8th grader.  I had heard his mins have dropped...So, was just curious?

They looked nice together last night.

I was wondering about that... If Tarter can stretch the floor, and play that stretch 4 then they turn into an extremely big team.  Hager looked too good to me early in the year to keep off the floor.

Him and Guy will be a good duo in years to come. By the time Quisenberry is a senior and those two are sophomores, that will be a very nice trio.

Garrard played a lot of zone and Tarter was able to work the high post.

Hager needs to be starting, and I would bring Bodner off the bench.

I think Boyle can improve steadily as the season progresses. The team is made up of several football players that happen to also play basketball. They have two very talented eight graders that will improve with more experience. The one thing they all have is they know how to win. They can be dangerous on any night because they are so aggressive. They also can have off nights shooting the ball which has hurt them early in the season. Remember most of the teams in the region are two or three weeks ahead of them as far as practice and any pre season games are concerned. That is just the way it is almost every year. I think any team in the region would like to trade places with Boyle having 3 straight FB championships, but getting back to the subject this is basketball. By the way they also have some key players that don't play football. Who starts and who comes off the bench is not real important right now. They have a lot of season left to sort that out.

13 of the 16 kids who dress varsity are football players. Don’t know if I’ve ever seen a 4A school have that many kids that play both for varsity.

A 6”6 skilled big that can do multitude of things should be starting and playing bulk of the mins.  Easy decision.
