Does Christian Academy-Louisville have any players and what about their new coach?

Didn't realize CA had a football team!! If they do, I would give them 10-15 years to make it to 6A.

They have had a team for a while now...

I hear some good things about what they are doing. anyone else hear anything

I saw them have a partial 7 on 7 game against another small school at halftime of a Louisville Fire game, they had a decent QB and skill positions with good hands and good speed.

 

The new Head Coach is Dan English (son of Wally). Dan played for QB Fresno State (I think), Frankfurt Galaxy, Louisville Bulls, Louisville Fire.

 

Dan has his brother coaching there, I think his name is Tom, and he played in the SEC asa QB, I forget which school maybe Auburn.

 

Eric Voss is also on staff, former Butler University Bulldog and Louisville Bull. Voss still holds records at Butler U. for most punt returns in a game, most punt returns in a career, most punt return yards in a career, most career receptions , most career receiving yards (per their 2006 media guide).

 

Greg Lile is another coach, Greg a Texas native was a walk-on OL at first Texas then University of Louisville. He then played for the Louisville Bulls and Louisville Fire.

 

They have a very experienced coaching staff and I look forward to seeing how they do, and how many points they put up.

Yeah I watched them 3 or 4 times this summer and know some kids on the team and never saw anything out of line or inappropriate ... Not sure where you are coming from.

I wonder if "addict" is making his comment based on one incident from a weekend 7on7 tourny? Bad call made by officals in reguards to a sack and when the team tried to discuss the issue the officals DQ'ed them. Would be nice if "addict" would reply to support his comment.

They played vs Bishop Brossart in a scrimmage and had 15 penalties in about 30 plays. I was told they play kind of dirty a lot of personal fouls and late hits.

I would love to. You are right, it was one incident.

 

But it wasn't from a bad call, it was because they were taunting the other team and mouthing throughout the whole session. It left a lasting impression on me.

 

And the coach knew it was going on and didn't do anything until it escalated to a point where it was almost too late. I am more disappointed in the coaching staff than anything else. Coaches are here to teach and correct, not turn a blind eye.
