I agree, once the regular season is over it should be all business.

They need to do something then.   I am a South Carolina fan, but the Carolina team that took the field in the Gator Bowl was not the same team that earned the bid.  And I'm sure the same could be said for Notre Dame.

The problem is the bowl games, not the players.

I really like the idea of moving the bowl games to the beginning of the season. 

Don't like a larger playoff though.

I think there's usually 2 or 3 teams that are ahead of the rest.  Recent years championship games haven't been extremely competitive.
