January 11, 200719 yr Author Was also 12/13 from the line and nailed a couple of three's. Reminds me a lot of Melo. He's just not as big, but is a little quicker on his feet. I think he projects as more of a guard at the next level, but their games do have some similarities at the NCAA level. January 11, 200719 yr Kevin Durrant is gonna be a superstar in the NBA. He is unbelievable. I have watched Texas more this year than I have my whole life. I never dreamed he would do this good in his first year.

January 11, 200719 yr Has his defense improved? I've only seen him once this year and I didn't pay much attention, but when he was in high school he didn't guard anyone (but it wasn't like he had to).

I only watched him play one game (@ Tennessee), and that was enough for me to conclude that he was definitely in the discussion. I probably haven't watched enough games this year to say for certain, but Durant looked as good as anyone I've seen thus far...
