The score was 7 to 7 after the first quarter. After that Ryle for the most part controlled the rest of the game. Keeping a 2 possession lead throughout, before really pulling away in the last 6 minutes in the 4th quarter.

Cooper had a chance at the start of the 4th quarter down 28 to 19 and had the ball at their own 30 yard line. Ryle then got an interception and scored two plays later. Then Cooper fumbled the ball their very next offensive snap, Ryle scored again. Then Cooper fumbled again on their very next play on a handoff exchange, and Ryle finishes it with another score to get to the final of 48 to 19.

Ryle is a very good team, with a very good young QB who throws a great ball.

Verax had 250-300 yards passing + 100 yards rushing, 6 TD’s and 0 INT’s.

Best Frosh QB in NKY and it’s not even close.

That’s still debatable in terms of being the best freshman QB period. Is he the Best freshman QB who is playing freshman football, Absolutely! However, Cam O’Hara is Coopers stud freshman QB and has started Varsity all year. He has not played freshman all year, and chances are he would have put up huge numbers with this Cooper freshman team. He definitely would have helped them tonight.

As mentioned there is a lot of good freshman QBs this year in this freshman class. Which I do agree though out of the QBs playing freshman football, he is the best.

A few other really good ones, including Cam, but Nate is and has been on a different level for years.

Previous years mean very little. Nate is dang good and absolutely tearing it up on the freshman level this year. Which Cam most likely would have done the same thing if he played freshman, especially with the weapons he would have had on this Cooper freshman team. Would have made a huge difference tonight. Nate could be better, but it’s hard to say it’s not even close. When one is tearing up freshman, while the other has been starting Varsity all year playing against juniors and seniors as a freshman.

We have some really good frosh QB’s in NKY playing at different levels for different teams based on the needs of the program. It’s fun watching the players develop over the years.

Agreed! Very special freshman class of QBs this year.

Jacob Savage would have made a huge difference too! Starting RB and LB. Game changer on both sides of the ball.

I couldn’t disagree more about previous years meaning little. His body of work over the past 5 years is ridiculous. If he was better head 2 head the previous 5 years, why would you assume he’s been passed up?

Nate could start varsity on every NKY school except maybe 2 or 3.

As good as QB’s may be, keep in mind the Offensive Line helps elevate each of these respective QB’s.  Very proud of the NKY QB’s, but let’s not forget about the Offensive Line that makes each of these players even more special.

Your only as good as the O’line allows you to be!

Plenty of examples through the years of guys who may have been better in youth football, then someone else becoming better than them when they get older. That’s not uncommon at all. The funny thing is all I am saying is it’s a little far off to say it’s not even close, when one guy is tearing up freshman teams, while the other is playing against Juniors and Seniors.  If Cam was also playing freshman, he probably also is tearing it up and then all of a sudden doesn’t seem like a huge difference like you are suggesting.

Also agreed Savage would make a big difference too. Not as big of a difference as a stud QB, but would make a big difference for sure. Not argument here on that, Savage is a complete stud like his older brother and has potential to be even better.

Future coach seems to be hung up on the best freshman qb discussion as it pertains to NKY. You’re defending the OHara kid as though he playing a freshmen schedule. He’s starting varsity, I’d assume we all know we are discussing QBs playing freshmen ball only.
