Ryle may have a running clock put on them this week and then their schedule gets much easier with Campbell County, Dixie, and Simon Kenton.  On the other hand, some of the teams below Ryle are going to have to do something.  Coming full circle, after the top 5, the next ten or so teams are all similar and all no where near the top 5 teams.

Ryle lost to an improving Highlands team last week and Ryle plays the number one team in Kentucky this week so yes, much easier. 

I guess the RPI loves Ryle too, seeing as they are ranked in the exact same spot.

I don’t agree with MC much, however I do think he has a valid argument here in regards to Ryle. Especially considering that Ryle was handled for the most part at home, by a team in Highlands that Simon Kenton beat on the road. So in regards to teams below Ryle needing to do something. I would say at least when it comes to Simon Kenton, they actually did show something more than Ryle currently.

Simon Kenton has plenty of time to prove whether they are Top 10. They haven’t done it, yet. Back to back losses by a total of 38 points is trending the wrong way.

In that case what exactly has Ryle done to prove they are a top 10 team? They don’t really  have any top wins this year. Then as mentioned one of their losses came against a team Simon Kenton beat, and quite frankly Ryle was not even really close in that loss. So what has Ryle done that would say give them the nod of Simon Kenton then?

They beat 5A #14 Cooper and 6A #14 Daviess County.  Additionally, they played 4A #3 Lexington Catholic very close and did okay against 5A #10 Highlands in a loss.  So while none of that (other than maybe the LexCath game) is very impressive overall they have a good resume when compared to the teams below them.
