January 7, 200719 yr Fun game to watch. VT is a team I wouldn't want to face in the first round of the Dance. I thought Paulas was starting to be the guard Duke thought he would be. But today was a major set back. His confidence is probably at an all time low. He played terrible. See how he rebounds the next few games. Not a good way to open conference play for Duke. VPI darn near took them down last year in Durham but held on this year. The Hokies are fresh off a loss to Marshall.

January 7, 200719 yr There is great joy on here with EVERY D__e loss from a large number of UK fans... I watch a lot of college basketball and love doing so. I cheer for Kentucky and that's about it. I just enjoy watching the games (and just basketball in general). I will admit though that I don't mind one bit when Duke, UNC, Ohio State, UCLA etc. lose.

Senior guard Zabian Dowdell, whose team was 0-7 against ranked foes last season, shouted with delight in front of the "Cameron Crazies" at game's end. He bumped chests with Gordon, and they fell to the floor together and rolled around as their teammates raced over. Dowdell popped his jersey in front of the "Cameron Crazies." Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski went over and scolded him. "He just told me I'm too classy of a guy to be carrying on like that," Dowdell said. What an arrogant guy that Coach K is. Perhaps the biggest win in the school's history in front of a crowd that taunted them the whole game. Take your loss and go to the locker room. What's next? Coach K whining because someone stomps the 'D' at midcourt before the game?

January 14, 200719 yr Then how do you explain it when Duke rushed the court after beating Tech on a last second shot, when Duke was ranked #1 and Tech was not. They piled on Dockery and players were dancing with the mascot. Can't have it both ways.
